MONKEY, MONKEY ANNACEL!

When I learned to conquer my fear of heights, nasobrahan naman na ang pagseek ko ng adventure. I went zipline-ing again. :D

Yesterday, I had a bonding with my supah friends since Monday is going to be a holiday. Initially, we planned to have a picnic at La Mesa EcoPark (yep, dun sa LaMesa Dam). Ganito yata talaga when you get older you tend to opt simple things like these over shopping and other glamorous stuff. Para din maiba naman. Also, one of my friends is preggy so we needed to have healthy and simple activity so she could come with us. Kaso pagdating pa lang namin sa park umulan na ng malakas, e wala na cabanas na available so we had no choice but to go home sa Fairview (my friend’s) at nagfoodtrip. After probably 2 hours mejo umayos naman ang panahon though may ambon pa din but not as hard as the rain earlier, so we want back to the park at nagzipline!

The damage is 100 pesos. 2 way na sya. Pero yung pabalik you have to do parang rapelling para makabalik ka sa base. Yun ang kelangan ng effort. It’s a lot cheaper than the one in Tagaytay (click HERE for my Tagaytay Zipline adventure) pero the gears and their zipline are way way lotek than the one in Tagaytay. Actually mejo scary nga eh baka malagot yung tali.. wahahahha! Wahahahah! What I didn’t like lang dito sa EcoPark zipline is that nakahiga lang or nakaupo.. mas gusto ko yung nakadapa.. pare feel na feel mo talagang lumilipad ka. Weeeeee!!!! :) :) :)

Weeeeeeeeeee!!!! Ang lameeeeeeeeegggg!!!! (mali pa ko ng outfit, actually haha!)

Ang bigat ko.. sobrang struggle naman nito pabalik. Hehe

Next stop: treetop adventure in Subic and zipline in Davao! (fingers crossed)   :)

GOODMINTON

badminton

I love playing fast,
the same way that I want to fulfill my goals real fast
I know it ain’t right; they say I should take things one step at a time

But who are they to blame me…
I’ve been stuck at the bench for such a long time since my last game

Now that my time to play has arrived, I want to give my best
It distressed me how I was always defeated back then,
I never even had a considerable point

Even if I knew how to give the best service,
that didn’t mean the cock would return smoothly
Most of the time they would smash it, and goes directly to my surface

It would hurt, like I’ve been hit by the racket
‘Coz even how small, or what the instrument was.. the hurt would still be the same

Now that I am fully renewed, I am thrilled to take a chance again
to play the game, to give the best service like what I used to do
I’d take the risks.. I’d embrace all the hurt..
I’d smash the cock and give my all
I’d run fast but carefully.. I’d play with precision
so as not to injure my feet and stay put on the court
for me to play longer
every minute, every hour, every single day of my life
until the last drop of sweat,
until the last amount of energy,
until my shoes lose their soles
and the power of my racket wears off

In the end, I know everything will be worth the pain….
I would learn to love every single game that I play – may I win or lose.  :)

AIM HIGH!

Posted by AC on Saturday Jan 31, 2009

Yesterday my friends and I hit the road to Silver City in Tiendesitas to have some exercise right after work. Wall climbing. Unfortunately (though I packed my gears! grrrr…) I wasn’t able to climb due to my condition: (1) Slept for barely 2 hours then headed off to work (saluhin ang lahat ng usok at alikabok ng buong Metro Manila), smashing up my ass “talking to strangers” who are trying to please me as if I am a very serious person (nyahahah! :P ) with high standards for an employee; (2) Drunk the night before. Therefore, suffering from tummy twinge (sige alak pa!). (3) Severe back pains which have been bugging me for 4 days now. Well, I just packed my stuff for wall climbing, wishing that by the time I get to the site I’d be better. Unfortunately, I didn’t get well. I just watched my friends act like Spiderman (Gagambina actually :P ) with envy. Huhuhu. :( (Tandaan mo to Van, next week/next time ako naman si Darna ng Power Up! Wahahaha! :P )

Anyways, because this post is about aiming high and hitting the mark, let me talk about dreams and goals in life. That would include having a family of my own someday (poor me, that is too far from reality :P ).  And since the love month is fast approaching I will talk about relationships. But don’t worry, it’s not solely a love bug. It’s all about life and heading out to the way to your dreams. :D

Do you still believe that most women’s dream is to settle down and be a mother? I read an old entry of one of my favorite bloggers, Soulful and I smiled when I saw that apart from being a singer, her ultimate dream is to be a wife and a mother. *deep sigh* I admire her for being candid. Who would want to divulge something like that? Something sweet yet shallow (for most heartless people). I mean, most people (especially those who are driven by the chaotic world of the corporate) would actually say “my ultimate dream is to have a business of my own, to be a boss, to travel around the world, etc etc.” or something that has to do with career and lifestyle.

But if you’d ask me now, I’d rather agree with Soulful. Raising a family is never easy. It entails a lot of sacrifice and complexity. And so does finding the right person. Searching for the right man.

And why did I put here “Aim High”?

Because I have high hopes in everything. Even in finding the right one. After getting off the mud I know I’ve been too smart that sometimes I tend to be jaded. It’s just being hopeful, but not being susceptible. I am not being choosy, I just know that my heart will find its perfect match… I might just feel it, even without seeing it coming. And it will never be like the old times — even if I cry, it will be worth my tears.

Honestly, Anne Curtis’ words have something to do with my being clever (but real):

“I want a real-life love story. I refuse to settle for less.”

Sa totoong buhay: mangangarap ka na nga lang ng may papatol sayo, hindi mo pa taasan.. hehe.. :P
