It’s official — my younger brother will tie the knot in January 2011.

It’s going to be a simple beach wedding, with 75-100 guests to witness the event.

Since I am the only one in the family who has been into events and wedding planning/coordination, I’m helping out in minimizing the cost (I don’t want to see my Mom & Dad cry — not because their unico hijo is about to leave them, but because their bank account is damaged.. ). However, most of the weddings that my friends and I planned were costly (like they got the service of Wally Gonzales, MangoRed, Jason Magbanua, etc etc) so I have very limited knowledge when it comes to suppliers with reasonable prices.

I have a videographer friend and he recommended some of his partner photographers to cover the event. But of course, we still need to have other options.

Dear friends/co-bloggers/readers, I would appreciate it if you can help me on the following:

• photographer

• videographer

• wedding rings (Mom said she will buy in Japan but my brother told her it’s expensive there so dito na lang sa Manila)

• gown (I know a few but they’re so mahal)

PS: My brother is not yet working so all of the expenses will be shouldered by my parents. I would really, really appreciate it if you can help me with the suppliers. Lalo na yung mga kinasal na jan (Kaso Ape di ka makakatulong pala sa kin, shallah nga pala ang wedding mo.. di mo yata alam ang mga CHEAP suppliers eh hahaha! )

Two weeks ago, one of my supahfriends, Sugar, said “I do” to her childhood sweetheart, Gian. We were all excited coz hers was the first wedding in our barkada (though we have another married friend but the wedding happened in the States a few years ago). FYI, most of us are singles and single moms. Hehehe.

Since we were too thrilled, we helped out in planning the wedding. I did her STDs as well as her formal invites (I did the layout/design while our other friends did the cutting, pasting, decorating, etc). Talk about labor of love.

However, even if we were all excited, sad thing is that we were not able to witness the church ceremonies. We left Manila late (venue: San Pablo, Laguna) then we got stuck in traffic along SLEX coz of a major accident (2 buses). We were only able to attend the reception (good thing none of us was part of the entourage.. nasense na ni Sugar na gagawin namin yun.. hahaha.. )

This morning, I came across Ralph’s (the groom) wedding album from their official photographer and saw our pictures with our HS barkada. I looked at them one by one and here is something that made my day..

I traveled from Manila all the way to Nueva Ecija (approx 3-4hours) just to attend Ralphy’s wedding. It’s just sad that I wasn’t able to witness their exchange of vows coz of my BEAUTIFUL friends who I fetched from Cabanatuan first then back to south to go to the church in San Leonardo (e pwede naman ako dumirecho dun maaabutan ko pa.. hahaha nagrant!). We were late, we were only able to catch the kodak moments after the ceremonies. Hahaha!

Despite being tiring, it was a fun day coz it became a quasi-reunion for me and my High School batchmates whom I haven’t been hanging out with for quite some time.

After Ralph & Heilyn’s wedding, tropapips headed to Station B along Maharlika Highway in Cabanatuan. We were VIPs (haneeeep VIP!) singing, drinking and taking pictures inside a KTV room.. only because, there was a show downstairs. What’s that again? Effing PINK… PINK… PINK… ano nga? Flamingo ba??? At ang sabi ba naman ni Ate (Floor Manager yata sya ng linsyak na Pinkish dudes na yun) “Sa loob lang kayo ng VIP room Ma’am ha? Di po kayo pwede lumabas” Pakealam ko potek sino ba yang PINK eklavuh na yan.. e mas magaling pa ko kumanta jan.. wahahhahahha! jooooke!

Ooops…it’s not my brother’s wedding.. it’s my BRADER’s WEDDING.

She is Theresa. We call each other brader but we are actually org sisters back in college. Nung araw kase mga lalake kame.. ngayon nagbagong anyo kame at naging babae. Ayan nga at ikinasal na sya eh.. at magkakababy na sya.. ibig sabihin BABAE nga sya at may matris. Ako na lang kelangan magtest kung may matris ba talaga ako. Nyahahah!

Nick grew up in the States while May is based here in Manila. They were introduced by a common friend (or a cousin of one of them) and their romance bloomed out of the internet. You see, the power of chat is very sound. The groom went home to the Philippines, got to spend time with the bride… and voila! They were so compatible in so many ways.. and fell in love with each other. He proposed and so marriage came in next.

They already got married in civil rites last year. Still, they wanted to have a church wedding so here goes their very beautiful wedding.

As usual, I was teary eyed all throughout the wedding. I was there from the hotel preparation, at the mass.. up to the reception. I was working for nearly 16hours on this day. And I’m sooo tired and sleepy, but I can’t wait to post these pictures.

Oh, BTW… Let me quote a few lines from the bestman (of course, I wasn’t able to get the exact words but below is something to that effect):

Happiness comes either sooner or later in our life. Some pursue happiness, some don’t. Some look for it and find it. Some look for it but never find it. Others find it but never get it. You’re lucky to have found and gotten the happiness that you truly deserve.

Onga noh? Many people find happiness kahit a lot of times pa… however, finding something that would make you happy doesn’t always mean you can get it. *deep sigh*

Yesterday, it was another successful event for TAC Productions as we made another wedding extraordinary, the Valencia-Banaag Nuptials. It was tiring, the weather was erratic (and so were my emotions) but I/we did everything properly.

Weddings make me cry. Really. Much more when I am one of those who are in charge to make it truly remarkable. And when I heard this one… wala, bumagsak na ang aking emosyon. Pero hindi dapat paapekto, masisira ang aking konsentrasyon. Nalungkot pa ko bigla when I remember yung linsyak na Fesbuk na yan, saan ako hahagilap ng groom sa January 2011??? Hahaha… uy joke lang ha, di ko sineseryoso yun. Talagang ako ay may quarter life crisis lang ngayon, hindi lang sa usapang puso, kundi sa lahat ng bagay sa aking buhay. Haaaaayyy…

Okay, okay.. enough of the drama. I’m gonna post na lang the pictures and how toxic our day was (and also how bangag I was yesterday.. I looked like a zombie! )
