AIM HIGH!

Posted by AC on Saturday Jan 31, 2009

Yesterday my friends and I hit the road to Silver City in Tiendesitas to have some exercise right after work. Wall climbing. Unfortunately (though I packed my gears! grrrr…) I wasn’t able to climb due to my condition: (1) Slept for barely 2 hours then headed off to work (saluhin ang lahat ng usok at alikabok ng buong Metro Manila), smashing up my ass “talking to strangers” who are trying to please me as if I am a very serious person (nyahahah! :P ) with high standards for an employee; (2) Drunk the night before. Therefore, suffering from tummy twinge (sige alak pa!). (3) Severe back pains which have been bugging me for 4 days now. Well, I just packed my stuff for wall climbing, wishing that by the time I get to the site I’d be better. Unfortunately, I didn’t get well. I just watched my friends act like Spiderman (Gagambina actually :P ) with envy. Huhuhu. :( (Tandaan mo to Van, next week/next time ako naman si Darna ng Power Up! Wahahaha! :P )

Anyways, because this post is about aiming high and hitting the mark, let me talk about dreams and goals in life. That would include having a family of my own someday (poor me, that is too far from reality :P ).  And since the love month is fast approaching I will talk about relationships. But don’t worry, it’s not solely a love bug. It’s all about life and heading out to the way to your dreams. :D

Do you still believe that most women’s dream is to settle down and be a mother? I read an old entry of one of my favorite bloggers, Soulful and I smiled when I saw that apart from being a singer, her ultimate dream is to be a wife and a mother. *deep sigh* I admire her for being candid. Who would want to divulge something like that? Something sweet yet shallow (for most heartless people). I mean, most people (especially those who are driven by the chaotic world of the corporate) would actually say “my ultimate dream is to have a business of my own, to be a boss, to travel around the world, etc etc.” or something that has to do with career and lifestyle.

But if you’d ask me now, I’d rather agree with Soulful. Raising a family is never easy. It entails a lot of sacrifice and complexity. And so does finding the right person. Searching for the right man.

And why did I put here “Aim High”?

Because I have high hopes in everything. Even in finding the right one. After getting off the mud I know I’ve been too smart that sometimes I tend to be jaded. It’s just being hopeful, but not being susceptible. I am not being choosy, I just know that my heart will find its perfect match… I might just feel it, even without seeing it coming. And it will never be like the old times — even if I cry, it will be worth my tears.

Honestly, Anne Curtis’ words have something to do with my being clever (but real):

“I want a real-life love story. I refuse to settle for less.”

Sa totoong buhay: mangangarap ka na nga lang ng may papatol sayo, hindi mo pa taasan.. hehe.. :P

BUT I’VE GOT TO TELL YOU…

”… it’s so vague at this point, it’s so faraway in my mind, I can’t even remember the darkness.”

- Jennifer Aniston

I am starting to gain weight again after a short stint in relishing slenderness.

I am officially back to my old spirited and fun-loving self.

My planner’s starting to be jam-packed.

My feet are already taking adult steps.

The camera’s beginning to roll.

I am starting to live…. AGAIN. :)

KRIS ON HAPPINESS

Posted by AC on Sunday Nov 2, 2008

While surfing the net, nanonood din ako ng TV ayun I heard Kris Aquino on The Buzz saying:

“Walang masama sa pagiging masaya. Basta lang sana yung kaligayahan mo hindi nanggaling sa dahil meron kang pinaiyak. “

Sundot! Sapak! Kabog!
Bato bato sa langit ang tamaan wag magagalit, ang pikon ay laging talo! :P
