PEOPLE OF MY YEAR

Apart from being great, my 2008 was a bit emotional as I’ve gone through a lot of downfall. As a twist, I’m including here some people who made me stronger by inflicting pain on me.
After hours of reflection, I’ve finally come up with my list. And here they are, the PEOPLE OF MY 2008. 
MY FAMILY. I’ve never been this close to any of you. But thank you for the support, love and care that i always get from you. It’s never too late to keep closer and closer to each one of you. Always remember that I love you so much. Papa, though you never saw me grew up i know that I have matured because of you, because of the values that you continuously instill in me. I will always be your little girl. Mama, thank you for always keeping me company at home for 2 years now since you came back for good (though I always leave you at home because i’m always out on gimmicks.. hehe 
). You’re so special because you are weird. Hahaha. joke! Ate & Kuya Mike, thank you for the endless & free (hehe!) medical support. Mako, my little brother no more, who always drives me to wherever. Thank you for this wonderful family.
MIKEE. The latest addition to our family, my nephew, Michael Archangel Mangilin Lazaro. Since he was born on the 7th of April 2008, he has always been the number 1 person to make me smile even when I’m totally wrecked (though he’s yet to find out the meaning of comfort and inspiration 
). Thank you for filling in the hollow spot in my life.
GOGOLOSH. I’ve been writing a lot of entries about you since I started blogging. So I guess you already know how much you mean to me. Words are not enough to tell you how lucky I am to have superfriends like you. Thank you. Che, for being a good listener. For being my partner in almost everything. Amae, for being my toy whenever I am down. You always make me laugh (whenever I make fun of you hehe ). Nheng, for being always on the go whenever I need a company. Noelle, for making me realize that friendship can be forever even without seeing each other personally. For the times that we fought, you made me realize how important you are to me. And how sad I would be had we ignored fixing things between us. Gny, for the good times and the gimmicks. I wish you nothing but happiness. Dane & Sugar, you will always be in my prayers even if we don’t see each other. I know you are both happy in the lives that you have chosen. Dowds, 2008 was fun-filled. Thanks for the adventures, night outs, drinking sessions, travels, foodtrips, and everything. Alabyu!
VANESSA LEI aka DUCHESS. An honorary member of Gogolosh, I’d like to thank you for the countless adventures & night outs. Thank you for spending some RP & Alchemy moments with me. Sayang nga lang at di natuloy ang Coron trip natin, di bale let’s try this year. 
Thanks as well for appreciating and supporting one of my hobbies – blogging. Also, getting closer with you made me aware of the fact that I am lucky I am not someone like you when it comes to the matters of the heart. Hahaha! I can still hold my heart with both hands.
CAPTAIN SID. Thank you for being a good friend. Like what I always tell you: Thank you for being patient and for trying to bear with my moodswings. You may be naughty most of the time, but in my heart I know that you are one perfect gentleman. You just don’t know how much you’ve inspired me to take care of myself. It’s funny how I get so annoyed by how you make fun of my flaws yet you still manage to entertain me and make me laugh. Thank you for those constructive criticisms – from my hairstyle, my fashion statement, my nails.. up to managing and making my relationships work. Thank you for the late night conversations that truly amuse me. Thank you for the numerous moments that I made you my shock absorber. And most of all: thank you for making me smile during those times when all I had to do is cry.
THE EX. I’m not gonna deny it, if I were to enumerate the people who touched my life in the year that was.. you still deserve to be here. Don’t get me wrong, I’m no longer holding on. Hahaha! Thank you for the pain, it made me human. Thank you for the three beautiful years that ended in 2008. Thank you for the memories.
THE OTHER WOMAN. This goes to show that even “enemies” (click HERE for the story) can be friends. G, thank you for the friendship. Thank you for showing me that I am still lucky despite everything. Thank you for guiding me and taking away half of my pain. Sabi mo nga noon “Walang madaling daan. Lahat kailangan pagdaanan. Walang shortcut. Kung meron man, sana hinugot na kita at sabay tayong naglakad.” Salamat.
GAWAD KALINGA – TATALON. I was truly inspired by these people. Being with you made me realize how fortunate I am for having almost everything that I need. Thank you for showing me that there’s more to life than dwelling on problems and sinking in misery. Thank you for letting me help those people in need in my own little ways.
MY TEAM. The corporate world may be rude, but I thank God for giving me a set of great mentors and subordinates. Everyday I keep on learning. 2008 was full of trials. Just keep on going. We will make it to the top.
THURSDAY CLUB. The week isn’t complete without spending the Thursday night with you at Alchemy. Thank you for the Open Mic Nights that always make me laugh. To GB & friends, Dave & friends, the comics, the staff & crew of Alchemy Club, thank you for the warm company. It’s nice that I have found new friends in you last year guys! More parties this year!

Now, I’m done with my list. Actually I was supposed to include John Lloyd kase he’s always inspiring me e.. hehe. but on second thought.. hmmm.. I’m just gonna write a special entry for him. Only him. Hahaha! joke lang!

Making friends with the new girl, just right after you’s kinda weird! Just can’t imagine. In any which way, I admire your emotional stability (if that was the case before) hahaha.. you were able to withstand that and I’m happy on how the situation completes its purpose.

@Glam Mitch. yeah, it was really weird. but i’m happy i’m so friendly… and BALIW. haha.
it’s a long story kase, but to cut it short: we were both blinded by the wrong person. she never came right after me. our lives were parallel for a long time.. you know, we didn’t know both of us existed in a person’s life almost at the same time. hmmmm… i hope you get what i am trying to say. haha.

small world, indeed!!! dami nga from canossa.. i was from there.. yester-years pero i transferred na during my secondary.. kakatuwa naman.. hay.. basta.. you’re pretty and independent and these are the qualities that guys want talaga (may they admit it or not). hehehe..

This is such a sweet and thoughtful post. Recognizing the people who made you happy in 2008 is recognizing how blessed you are to have them in your life. Take care of those blessings. You are one lucky girl.

So kamusta naman… maraming salamat kapatid… naks, akalain mong kasama ako sa People of the Year mo…:) at kailangan talagang may picture na nakapost noh? pambihira… hehe!
Anyway, oist noh, i know na how to hold my heart with both hands, may kadena pa. kaya nga di umaandar eh — kahit na may driver naman na dapat… hehehe!
But anyway, highwat, wateber it is, more friendship for 2009! After all, this help us survived 2008. And if coron’s not for us, why don’t we try bantayan kaya?! hehehe… hopefully, you have your ultra mega super bonggang camera by that time… PORTRAIT PIC!!!

hahaha… hindi naman sawi, let’s just say that, by choice AND chance kaya ganito ang estado ng buhay natin… hehe… at kailangan nakacapital talga yang realization mong yan, ha?!
okay lang yang long VL na yan… gora tau bantayan… that is, pag naorder mo na si bonggang cammy para may pangkuha ka ng bonggang pwekture (ung sunset gusto kong background…) hehehe… demanding!

in fairview naman kay ex, muka naman sya tao. yeah may ichurs naman sya kahit pano.. pero di kame bagay eh.. sobrang ganda ko kase para sa kanya! wahahaha! hoy joke lang to ha. hekhek.
of course, i still have to thank him. although hindi talaga maganda ang mga pangyayari, ganun talaga. sabi mo nga sa isang entry mo diba salamat at nagmahal ka kahit na nasaktan ka. naks! haha!
seriously, lahat naman ng inilagay ko dito kahit yung hindi kabutihang tao lahat sila pinasasalamatan ko ng taos sa puso.
next year nasa 2009 na kita. hahaha!
